Tail Lift Truck Rental — Load Heavy Cargo Without a Loading Dock

Not every delivery address has a loading dock. A tail lift truck solves that problem with a hydraulic platform built into the rear of the vehicle: it lowers to kerb level, takes the weight of a loaded pallet, trolley or crate, and lifts it straight up to bed height. One driver can load and unload heavy or awkward cargo alone, safely, without a forklift, a ramp or a second pair of hands on site.

We run a fleet of tail lift trucks across the UAE — 1.5-tonne, 3-tonne and 7-tonne platforms — available for daily, weekly and monthly hire, with or without a driver. Book online or call us, and we dispatch the right size truck to your pickup point the same day.

Why Hire a Tail Lift Truck From Us

No dock, no problem

The lift platform does the lifting, so you can load and unload at any kerbside, driveway or loading bay — no dock height, ramp or ground-floor unit required.

Sized to the job

Choose a 1.5-tonne van-based truck for single pallets and small runs, a 3-tonne truck for multi-drop retail or event work, or a 7-tonne truck for bulk pallet loads and warehouse-to-warehouse transfers.

Driver included or self-drive

Take a trained, licensed driver who operates the lift and secures the load correctly, or self-drive if your own staff hold the right UAE licence category for the vehicle.

Fleet-tracked and insured

Every truck carries GPS tracking, comprehensive insurance and a documented pre-trip inspection, so you always know where your cargo is and that it's covered.

Fast turnaround

Book by early afternoon for same-day dispatch across Dubai, Abu Dhabi and the wider UAE.

How the Tail Lift Works

The platform sits flush against the rear of the truck while driving and folds down to ground level at the push of a button when you arrive. It carries the full pallet or trolley weight, not just a person, so your team wheels the load straight on, the platform lifts it to bed height, and it rolls into the cargo box. Unloading works the same way in reverse — no stairs, no ramps, and no manual lifting of anything heavier than a push.

Need the Load Kept Cool?

Carrying fresh produce, plants or anything temperature-sensitive alongside a general load? Ask about our insulated canopy option, or see our [chiller van and refrigerated truck rental] pages for a fully temperature-controlled vehicle instead.

Choose Your Truck

Truck size Platform capacity Bed length Typical load
1.5-tonne Up to 500 kg ~3.0 m 1–2 pallets, appliances, furniture
3-tonne Up to 1,000 kg ~4.2 m 3–6 pallets, multi-drop retail stock
7-tonne Up to 1,500 kg ~6.0 m 8+ pallets, bulk warehouse transfers

Need It Kept Cold?

If your load is temperature-sensitive — fresh produce, dairy, flowers or pharmaceuticals — we also run tail lift trucks with an insulated, refrigerated box. [See our refrigerated tail lift truck rental page] for temperature-controlled hire with the same kerbside loading advantage.

How to Book

  • Tell us the load. Share the weight, pallet count and pickup/drop-off addresses by phone, WhatsApp or our online form.
  • We match the truck. We recommend the right platform size and confirm a driver-included or self-drive rate.
  • We dispatch. Your truck arrives at the agreed time, GPS-tracked from pickup to final drop.
  • You pay per trip or on account. One-off jobs are pay-as-you-go; regular customers can set up a monthly account.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a special licence to operate the tail lift?

You only need a standard driving permit for that vehicle class to ride in the truck. For operating the lift itself, we recommend our trained driver, or your own staff after a short briefing, since the platform carries real weight and your team must load it evenly.

It depends on the truck: our 1.5-tonne trucks lift up to 500 kg per cycle, our 3-tonne trucks up to 1,000 kg, and our 7-tonne trucks up to 1,500 kg. We size the truck to your heaviest single load, not just your total cargo weight.

Yes. Most bookings are single trips — we don’t require a minimum contract or a weekly commitment for one-off jobs.

Both options are available. A driver-included booking covers the driving, load securing and lift operation. A self-drive booking suits businesses whose own staff hold the correct UAE licence category and want more control over the schedule.

We dispatch tail lift trucks across Dubai, Abu Dhabi and the wider UAE. Tell us your pickup and drop-off locations when you book and we’ll confirm coverage and timing.

Same-day dispatch is available for bookings made before early afternoon. For guaranteed timing on a specific date, we recommend booking at least 24 hours ahead.
