What Is a Freezer Truck Rental?
A freezer truck is a rigid commercial truck with a heavily insulated cargo box and a diesel driven refrigeration unit (a “reefer unit”) strong enough to keep frozen goods at −18°C or colder for the whole journey. It sits one step above a freezer van: it carries several tonnes and full pallets instead of crates, and its unit has the extra capacity to pull the box back down to temperature after every door opening. - Before loading, the driver runs the reefer unit until the cargo box reaches your set point. Loading frozen goods into a warm box raises their surface temperature, so we never skip this step
