A chiller truck is a commercial truck with an insulated cargo box and a refrigeration unit on the front. The unit blows cold air through the box and keeps your goods chilled, not frozen, at 2°C to 8°C. That is the safe range for fresh fruit and vegetables, dairy, chilled meat, fish, flowers and most ready-to-eat food.

RTA truck restrictions
From 1 October 2026, RTA and Dubai Police expanded truck movement restrictions across Dubai, and timings change by road and area. In July and August, heat at the loading dock warms a load faster than distance or traffic. On multi-drop routes we keep door openings short and plan drops so the unit can recover between stops.
